Charles "Linc" Webster Lincoln, Jr. age 70, passed into the arms of his savior on Sunday July 6, 2008. He was born December 1, 1937 to Charles and Evelyn (Doherty) Lincoln in Weymouth, MA. His sister Joyce Bedell still resides in Massachusetts. Charles grew up in Massachusetts and then moved to California in his twenties. He worked for Rainbow bread as a salesman for 35 years.
Roy Bateman was born in Santa Barbara, CA on July 13, 1924 and passed away on July 12, 2008 surrounded by his family. He was a resident of Morgan Hill for 28 years where he was the man behind the scenes for his active wife Doris Bateman. He moved to Oakdale, CA two years ago after her passing. Roy retired from FMC in 1993 after 18 years of service.

Brian Greene Pence passed away at his home in Hollister on Saturday at the age of 39. Born in Hollister having lived here all his life. Brian was a heavy equipment operator in construction for nearly 20 years. Survived by his mother, Patsy Pence of Hollister, his brothers, Sam and Loren Pence of Marysville and Anthony Pence, wife, Melissa, of Menifee,CA. Brian is also survived by his grandmother, Winnie Pence of Madera, 3 nieces and 4 nephews and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Morgan Hill resident, Lupe Lorraine Martinez Villanueva (Leda) 85, died peacefully at her home July 10, 2008. She had been a dialysis patient for the last two and a half years. Leda was born Dec. 12, 1922 in Trinidad, CO to Max and Salome (Lucero) Martinez. She was 5th of 15 brothers and sisters. She attended public schools in Trinidad, CO. As a child, she spent many of her formative years living with her grandparents. She married the love of her-James O. Villanueva (Partner) on Dec. 18, 1948, in Pueblo, CO. She, her husband, and their 2 month old baby girl came to a farm in Morgan Hill(off of Cochrane Rd.) in July 1949 where her parents and siblings were picking apricots. Leda and her husband then moved to Los Gatos where her husband worked on a chicken ranch. They lived there until 1952, and then came to a ranch in Morgan Hill to make a home and raise a family.
