arrested Friday at a home that city officials want closed because
of its ties to drugs and gang-related activity.

Pablo Chavez, 19, of Gilroy, and three juveniles were arrested just after 10 p.m. Friday at 7216 Eigleberry St., according to the GPD.
Chavez was taken into custody for possession of marijuana for sale, according to the GPD.
Chavez told officers he did not live at the residence, but did have some personal items in the home, according to the GPD.
Three juveniles were also arrested at the residence. The GPD did not release their names because they are minors.
One 17-year-old male was taken into custody for marijuana possession and resisting arrest. According to the GPD, he failed to obey officers’ commands, attempted to flee and appeared to reach into his waistband when cornered by officers. Because they feared he may have been reaching for a weapon, officers then used a Taser to subdue the suspect, according to the GPD.
Another 17-year-old male was arrested for a probation violation and giving false identification. A 15-year-old male also was also taken into custody, for marijuana possession and resisting arrest.
The residence has been subject to multiple narcotics-related searches over the past several years, according to the GPD.
Police arrested several suspected Norteño gang members during a narcotics search at the home in October 2010. Five people were arrested, and a police search revealed methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana throughout the residence.
Mayor Al Pinheiro and City Councilman Bob Dillon said Monday they want the residence declared a public nuisance.
Gallicinao also said three of the unchained dogs at 7216 Eigleberry St. were taken by animal control today.
It’s Chavez, however, that the GPD has become familiar with, Sgt. Chad Gallicinao said.
“He’s been arrested quite a few times lately,” Gallacinao said.
According to the GPD’s arrest log, Chavez was arrested Jan. 9 for felony vandalism with damages more than $50,000.
On Sept. 28, 2010, Chavez was arrested for driving under the influence.
Chavez was arrested June 29, 2009 for unlawful sexual intercourse.
