The Gilroy City Council and Planning Commission will host a joint study session to discuss Gilroy’s Housing Element.

City officials are seeking input from residents, workforce, and other local stakeholders about plans to address Gilroy’s housing challenges and find solutions.

The meeting will take place on Aug. 29 at 6pm in the Council Chambers, 7351 Rosanna St.

The city is currently in the process of updating the Housing Element which outlines Gilroy’s plan to meet the housing needs of everyone in the community. This study session will provide an opportunity to review community survey responses, proposed housing programs to address the identified needs of the community, and a list of properties that are currently vacant or underutilized that may provide an opportunity for housing redevelopment.

For information, visit cityofgilroy.org/907/Housing-Element-Update or contact Cindy McCormick at [email protected].

To request Spanish language interpretation services for this meeting, contact the City Clerk a minimum of 72 hours prior to the meeting at 408.846.0204 or email the City Clerk’s Office at [email protected].
