Chirtopher finishes third in Monterey Bay League
The Christopher High girls soccer team concluded its first season as a varsity squad with a 1-0 victory against Pajaro Valley on Thursday.

The Cougars stormed through the Monterey Bay League down the stretch, posting a 5-1-1 record in their final seven matches to give them a third-place finish. The final league count stands at 6-5-1.

Cailin McCarry tallied the Thursday’s lone goal, which was played out under extremely rainy conditions.

“I’m very proud of the girls and to take third is great for our first season,” CHS head coach Janae Pimentel said.

Watsonville topped the league standings.
