GILROY – Goldsmith Seeds snapped a five-game losing streak Wednesday by topping the Titans 49-31 in the Men’s E League first-half finale for both clubs in the Gilroy Community Services Department program at South Valley.

Jim Singleton exploded for 19 points and Chris Vigilante followed with 15 markers for Goldsmith Seeds. Arnold Tellez led the Titan scorers with 13 points.

The second half of the adult basketball program begins Tuesday Jan. 7 at South Valley. The Men’s D League plays games on Tuesday nights. The Women’s League plays on Wednesdays, with the eight-team E League featuring one game on Wednesdays, then a tripleheader Thursday.

Handmade Healthcare, the first-half E champion with a 5-1 record, will play in the D League for the second half. Pizza N Stuff-Toto Stingers gave Handmade a rude send-off Thursday, powering past the champions 70-45.

Alexis Rivas led the balanced Pizza N Stuff-Toto Stingers attack with 16 points. B.J. Goodley scored 15 points and Teo Ponce netted 13 for the winners. Britt Bigelow scored 13 points for Handmade.

Isaac Reyes tossed in a three-point field goal in the closing seconds to clinch a 50-46 double-overtime win for Stuft Pizza over the Playaz. Charles Nguyen paced Stuft Pizza with 20 points. J. R. Hernandez provided 19 points to the Playaz attack.

Benny Sanchez scored 16 points and Tony Maquinalez turned four 2-pointers into a 14-point effort as Net Magic outlasted Rocha’s Drywall 59-49. Jose Maciel struck for 15 points, Frank Smith 12 for Rocha’s.

Rae-Anne Yip scored 14 points Wednesday as Above The Rim completed a 6-0 run through the first half of the Women’s League with a 40-25 nod over Togo’s. Lena Tabron poured in 16 points for Togo’s.

Krazy Koyote-Dutchman’s Pizza defeated Williams Dental Lab 39-24 to leave those teams tied with Togo’s at 2-4. Monica Pantoja scored 12 points, Emilia Flores 11 and Lilia Flores 10 for the winners. Sabrina Gutierrez scored 11 points for Williams Dental Lab.

Gaeta’s finished a 6-0 run through the Men’s D first half with a 79-68 decision over Dutchman-Krazy Koyote Monday.

Marmet Williams keyed the Gaeta’s surge with 27 points. David Herrera scored 17 points, Nathan Sanders 14 and Nigel Williams 11 for the winners. Mark Cisneros popped in 32 points, while Jon-Michael Becerra scored 13 for the losers.

Gabe Gonzales and Josh Carter each scored 27 points to lead Fritter-Schulz Physical Therapy (4-2) past Headstart Nursery 70-59. A.J. Mathews hustled for 10 Therapist points. Don Hall finished with 23 points, Bill Christopher 13 for Headstart.

Morgan Hill Gargae Door completed the half at 3-3 with a 54-36 win over Mitchell Excavation. Jadrien Garcia scored 13 points and Jacob Garcia added 10 for the Door. Floremund Asuncion and Marc Minton each scored nine points for Mitchell. The Excavators will play in the E League in the second half.
