Playing through windy conditions at Del Monte Golf Course, the Christopher High boys golf team finshed No. 2 at the second Monterey Bay League tournament of the season Monday in Monterey.
The Cougars improved their team score by five strokes, carding a 273, while a couple of the other teams had rough outings, head coach Mike Hosida said.
Monterey placed atop the field with a 203, Watsonville was third with a 288, King City (295) fourth, North Monterey County (307) fifth and Anzar sixth with 356.
Peter Hilkene recorded the Cougars’ low rounds, shooting a 45.
Tyson Hill penciled in a 50, Steven Lerma 53, Dillon Romero 67, RJ Montez 64 and Jaeshawn Hoenck 61.
CHS next league meet is slated for March 18 at San Juan Oaks.
