San Francisco – Freshman libero Haley Carroll enjoyed an outstanding week, helping the Dons to back-to-back West Coast Conference sweeps. For her efforts, she earned WCC Player of the Week honors.
Although rarely recognized with weekly honors, few liberos enjoyed the kind of week Carroll did in helping the Dons to the only 2-0 record in week 4 of the league schedule.
The Gilroy native and Valley Christian graduate averaged 8.33 digs (50 total) in back-to-back sweeps of Gonzaga and Portland, including a new USF three-game single-match record of 29 against the Pilots, shattering the previous best of 27 set by Kelly Harris against Idaho State on Sept. 16, 1994.
Carroll excelled in serve receive with 40 total receptions with just two errors, helping the Dons hit at an impressive .313 clip for the weekend.
