Thanks to Joe Peralta, who catered all of our former parties. For the past year Joe, an old friend and fellow member of the San Martin Lions Club, has been promoting a 70th year party if we managed to make it.
Well, we did and Joe responded by serving his special barbecue sandwiches with the help of Val Filice. Thanks to Goldsmith Seeds for the flowers. Many thanks to Dirk Van Straaten for his work in setting up the hall and smoothing problems if any arose.
During the afternoon, an award – life memberships with Lions International – were presented to each of us by Lion President Diane Van Straaten. Thank you very much.
The wonderful party will remain in our hearts and memories for many years to come.
Thank you everyone who was there to wish us well.
