Mr. Clawson is survived by his daughter Benetta Kay Daniel of San Jose. He is also survived by his grandchildren Shellie Burns of San Diego, Jason Kenney of San Francisco, Kaare Daniel, Nicola Daniel, and Christopher Daniel all of San Jose.
He is the great-grandfather of Nicola Mahrer and Joseph Burns both of San Diego.
Harold is the brother of Faye Price of Morgan Hill and Evelyn Whisenant of Laughlin, Nev., and the brother-in-law of Dean Whisenant of Laughlin, Marcia Clawson of Reno, Lucille Clawson of Oregon and Ava Clawson of Arkansas.
Numerous nieces and nephews also survive him. He was preceded in death by his sister, Benetta Berhorst, and his brothers Wilburn, James and Fern Clawson.
A native of Arkansas, he moved to Southern California in the 1940s and settled in Gilroy in 1963. Harold was a carpenter for more than 50 years. He was also an Army Veteran of World War II. After his retirement, Harold worked at the Veterans Building in Gilroy and was a friend to many. He also enjoyed fishing and camping with his family.
Family and Friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering for Harold on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Daeumler Residence, 7015 Angelo Lane, Gilroy, CA 95020. Services are under the direction of Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy.
