• No. As is common with the news, I believe this has been blown out of
proportion due to his celebrity. Something incredible happened with one of the police officers in New York due to his contact with Robert – we do not always know why these things happen. • No. I still have great appreciation for him and all he has done for Gilroy. I am disappointed that he would make such a terrible mistake though. • No. I have been and remain an admirer of “The Ghost” and all he and his family do for the community. He is a caring, gentle man, with good morals and values. It’s difficult to stay informed of all the new gun laws in different states (now a felony in New York), but this should have been researched before traveling. • No, he’s proven himself a good man through his community service, his dedication to his family and the perseverance he has shown to become a world champion boxer. • No. I don’t have all the facts behind the incident. • No. Absolutely NOT. He’s a stand-up guy and any body saying less than that is wrong. • Not a very bright move, hope he fights smarter! Still a great guy, but I’d like to hear an explanation. • Yes. What was he thinking? This action might prove the seriousness of the sport as brain injuries are common, and it isn’t just fun competition – there are health repercussions and perhaps his judgment on packing a gun, loaded or not, in his luggage is an indicator. • Yes. It was a stupid mistake. Every adult in this country should know that a gun must be registered to the owner. • NO! I’m assuming he got a gun because, as a known celebrity, he felt he needed protection. The robbery at his house proves he’s not just a Gilroy home resident anymore. It’s a shame. I’ll be praying and rooting for him on May 4. • No. He made a mistake with no malice intended. It seems that gun laws from state to state differ and may be confusing. Thank god he wasn’t carting a concealed monkey!
