Helen D. Kalpin died Friday, May 13, 2005 in Gilroy.
Born March 7, 1912 in Bixby, Okla., she graduated from Oklahoma A & M University with a degree in music and loved to play the piano. She was a 58-year member of the Gilroy Presbyterian Church where she was active in many circle and prayer groups.
She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker.
She is survived by her daughter, Helen “Beth” Meiers and her husband Charles of Merced and her son Lee M. Kalpin and his wife Marilyn of Gilroy; grandchildren Janet Poletti of New Jersey, Gary Poletti of Sacramento, Robin Ahmadkhani of Gilroy, Amber Kalpin of Alameda, Brandon Kalpin of Altadena, Bradley Walden of San Jose, Jeremy Novara of Davis, Tom Meiers of Colorado and Chuck Meiers of Georgia; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Morris F. Kalpin and her sister Norma A. Dunlop.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:30am Wednesday, May 18, 2005 at Habing Family Funeral Home.
