illness. She was 80.
Helen I. Mills died Aug, 7, 2004, in Gilroy after a lengthy illness. She was 80.
Mrs. Mills attended the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Gilroy, she was a former member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church of Milpitas, Hope Lutheran Church in Santa Clara and Christ Lutheran Church of Aptos. Mrs. Mills moved to Gilroy from Aptos two years ago. Her favorite hobbies were baking and reading, but family and friends were her biggest treasure.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, John J. Mills of Gilroy; children, Sharon and her husband Chuck Kaekel of Gilroy, Sandra and her husband Hugh Kizer of Hollister; grandmother, Lee Kizer of Hollister and Dan and his wife Cynthia Martinez of Pacifica; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 12, 2004, at The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 1735 Hecker Pass, Gilroy under the direction of Habing Family Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Lutheran Church in her memory are preferred and appreciated.
