Gilroy – California Pioneers of Santa Clara County are holding the “2005 Historical Essay Contest,” open to anyone of high school age or older.
The topic may be on any person, group, place or event relevant to the history of Santa Clara County.
The length must be between 3,000 and 10,00 words and it must be submitted in duplicate, each in an appropriate folder or stapled together. It must be typed, double-spaced, contain a title page, introduction or preface, table of contents and a bibliography. Title page must include name, address and telephone number of the entrant and students should include name of their school and teacher.
