A San Benito County Probation Department officer contacted the police department identifying Carlos O. Estrada of Hollister as a possible suspect shortly after the agency released photos of him in the store, police said. Police released the photos Jan. 29 showing the suspect at the store Jan. 26 committing burglary.
At 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, a sheriff’s deputy contacted Estrada near the corner of Fourth and Monterey streets on an unrelated matter, police said. Police thanked those who called with information about Estrada. Residents with information about crime can call (800) 78-CRIME.
