Miller Barn Paint-In Held Thursday

Gilroy – Local artists are invited to a red barn paint-in sponsored by the Gilroy Historical Society Thursday. The event takes place all morning and into the early afternoon at Christmas Hill Park. Historical Society members planned the event hoping that a strong artistic response will keep the memory of the barn – which is slated for demolition – alive in the community.

The red barn is thought to have been built during the years that Henry Miller ran cattle on what is now part of Christmas Hill Park. The city plans to raze the barn due to safety and health issues.
