and I wish to thank Bob Dillon, Greg Gartman and other Gilroy
officials for naming me Grand Marshall for this year’s Memorial Day
parade.

With a feeling of humbleness, appreciation and honor my family and I wish to thank Bob Dillon, Greg Gartman and other Gilroy officials for naming me Grand Marshall for this year’s Memorial Day parade.
It was a time for remembrance of all Americans no longer with us and especially for those who served in the military and more so for those who gave their lives in that service.
Passing through my memory were Sal Gagliardi, Bill “Dutch” James, Arnold Settrini, Carol Wilkinson, Clarence Dishman, just to name a few. Captain Reggie Desiderio’s heroic final hours on a hilltop in Korea, earning him the Medal of Honor, is something we should never forget.
Again, thank you for the honor.
