Sowing Seeds, Nurturing Dreams
Sowing Seeds, Nurturing Dreams: A Food and Wine Gala with Silent Auction will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 25 at the Gavilan College Student Center, 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd. The event will raise funds to provide scholarships and support for Gavilan College students. $50, 21 and over. Steinbeck Festival
As part of the National Steinbeck Center’s celebration of The Grapes of Wrath 75th anniversary, the 34th annual Steinbeck Festival takes place May 2-4 in Steinbeck Country. This year’s festival will feature nationally renowned guest speakers, tours, events, authors, artists, musicians and more will highlight this year’s festival. Tequila tasting
The eight annual Tequila Tasting Event of the Latino Family Fund de Gilroy will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 3 at the Willey House in downtown Gilroy. Enjoy Mexican appetizers and taste premium tequilas specially selected by fund families. Bid on silent auction items while listening to music.
Remembering Frontier Village annual picnic
Mark your calendars for 11 a.m. Saturday, June 28 at the old Frontier Village stomping grounds now known as Edenvale Park, 200 Edenvale Ave. in San Jose, near the Hayes Mansion. There will be memorabilia, past employees will be on hand to reminisce, the Frontier Village gun fighters will re-enact shows, a tour, along with other activities.
