Dear Editor,

Reading the letter from Karen Mountz, I noticed that she said she was happy putting in that many hours for her job. If I made that much, I would also be that happy. She also said that teachers have the most important job in teaching our children. Then maybe we should be paying them as much as Karen Mountz was receiving and perhaps they would make themselves more accessible.

It’s like they say, you get what you pay for. If theirs is one of the most important jobs, then they should be paid such. Not to sit and wait for a year in bonus, but pay them monthly a wage that encourages them to give up their personal time for tutoring extra.
