the hot tub at her parents home on Pitlochry Drive in the Eagle
Ridge development.
Gilroy – An 18-month old baby died at Saint Louise Regional Hospital Wednesday morning, an hour after she was discovered face down in the hot tub at her parents home on Pitlochry Drive in the Eagle Ridge development.
The child’s parents were home at the time and tried unsuccessfully to resuscitate their daughter.
Details were unavailable as the death is under investigation by the Gilroy Police Department and a Santa Clara County coroner, under protocol governing all infant deaths in the county. An autopsy is being conducted.
Sgt. John Sheedy of the GPD said that “at this point, there do not appear to be any red flags at the scene to indicate that this is anything other than a terrible tragic accident.”
