Hanging out with the boss can be exciting. Just ask Marita Celino, manager of the Jack in the Box restaurant located at 17015 Condit Road, Morgan Hill. 

Celino met Jack when she and an elite group of restaurant managers and area coaches were recognized by the quick-serve chain for superior guest service and operational achievement at the company’s annual Circle of Excellence award ceremony last month in Las Vegas.

Articulate Solutions nets awards

Articulate Solutions has bested thousands of competitors from 23 countries to win five prestigious 2007 Summit Creative Awards. Articulate Solutions was recognized for the corporate identity created for local interior design firm Bella Cosa, Wellington Corporation’s Los Gatos Creek and Haven Ranch logos, South Valley Imaging’s “Hold the Onions” specialty note cards, and Gilroy Foundation’s “A Day in the Country” invitation.

The company also received three honors at the 2007 International Davey Awards, an international design competition that recognizes the creative excellence of smaller agencies and companies worldwide. The Davey is judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, an exclusive organization of top-tier professionals from acclaimed media, advertising and marketing firms. Articulate Solutions took home two Gold Awards for Art Direction/Graphic Design and Book Cover Design for “Tarawa’s Gravediggers” and a Silver Award for its Rancho Abeja logo for local developer Wellington Corporation.

Solis Winery wins honors

Solis Winery added more honors to its case of trophies after winning four top awards at the 2008 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, the largest wine competition of American wines contest in the world.

The award-winning Santa Clara Valley winery scored three prestigious Schott Zwiesel Silver Awards for its 2003 Sangiovese ($18), 2005 Merlot ($34), and 2003 Meritage, “Cara Mia” ($30). Solis’ 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon ($34) also was honored with the Schott Zwiesel Bronze Award.
