Jack Tyler was born in Sayre, PA and moved to California in 1978, son of the late Delos and Maude Tyler and was preceded in death by infant son, Joshua Tyler. He graduated from Elk Lake High School in 1962 and was self-employed throughout his life which began with owning several businesses in Tunkhannock, PA, including Tyler Texaco Station and upon moving to California, he owned Tyler Real Estate Loans. Devoted and loving husband to Cindy for 30 years, wonderful father to Jessica Tyler, Alexis (Rich) Marcus, Jenny (Mike) Waller, Melissa (Jamie) Casillas. Doting and loving “Pa” to his six grandchildren Olivia, Tyler, Chase, Connor, Jaya, and McKenna. He is also survived by his siblings Rosemarie Tyler (Don Roberts), Esther (John) Prichett, Shaun (Linda) Dunn and numerous nieces and nephews. Jack was a passionate man who loved singing and dancing, spending time with his family and working on outdoor projects. He will be remembered for his compassion for others, witty sense of humor and strong will. He lived a very full life and has touched many people along the way. Visitation will be held Thursday September 2, 2010, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. and services will be held on Friday, September 3, 2010, at 10:00 A.M. at Grunnagle Ament Nelson Funeral Home. Reception immediately following at the family home. Contributions are preferred to the family of Jack Tyler, c/o Grunnagle Ament Nelson Funeral Home to help with their funeral expenses.
