Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 8th, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Grunnagle Ament Nelson Funeral Home. The Rosary will begin at 7:00pm. His funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, April 9th, 2014, at Sacred Heart Church at 10:30 A.M., with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.  Our beloved father and grandfather passed away peacefully on Sunday March 30, 2014, at the age of 78. He was born in El Carrizo Julimes, Chihuahua, Mexico. He came to Hollister in 1963.
 He married his wife Josefa at Sacred Heart Church in August of 1963. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past August.
 Jose is survived by his three daughters and their husbands, Teri and Eddie Escamilla, Elizabeth and Will Tijerina, and Kathy and Richard Ruiz. He is also survived by his seven beloved grandchildren, Benito and Joseph Tijerina, Eddie and Marissa Escamilla, and Adrian, Aleah, and Andrew Ruiz.
 He was predeceased by his wife, Josefa, on February 18th of this year.
