Josephine E. O’Connor, a long-time resident of Hollister died at the age of 101 on October 12, 2011, in Oak Ridge, TN following a brief illness. She relocated to Knoxville, TN to live near her son, Tom in September of 2005.
Jo was born in Iowa on September 4, 1910, and moved to California in 1934, where she married Hollister native Benjamin J. O’Connor in 1937.
Surviving family members include: a sister Harriette Proctor (Courtney) of Watsonville, CA; daughters Rosemary Kley (Ed) of Springfield, VA, Patsy Gorlier (Marc) of Paris, France; son Tom O’Connor of Knoxville, TN; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews including Frances Palmtag of Hollister.
Following cremation in Knoxville, TN, interment will be at the I.O.O.F. cemetery in Hollister.
