DEAR EDITOR:

I wanted to compliment Goldsmith and the Rotary Club volunteers on the organization of this year’s flower sale. From plenty of parking assistance, abundance of plastic and cardboard trays for us to carry our treasures, to those helping us load our cars, this sale was very well run. It looked like the volunteers were having a lot of fun, as were the customers.

The vests identifying the volunteers were very helpful.

I’d suggest more tables for the cashiers in the future; this would allow us to slide our treasures on the table (rather than on the ground) and also clearly identifies the location of the cashier. It would also help if the cashiers were moved a little further away from the entrance to avoid the congestion. I’d make it clear that both exits in the nursery had cashiers. I saw people struggling from one end of the nursery to the other, thinking they had to pay at only one exit.

Many thanks to the Rotarians and Goldsmith for their wonderful support of our community.
