A man who brandished a knife and made off with an undisclosed amount of money from a Gilroy check-cashing business Wednesday morning remains at large, police said.

A male suspect wearing a ski mask and black hooded sweatshirt entered the Advance America Cash Advance location at 8401 Church Street around 10 a.m., pulled out a knife and demanded money from a clerk, said Sgt. Chad Gallacinao of the Gilroy Police Department.

After the clerk complied, the suspect fled the store on foot.

Police have made no arrests related to the robbery, and the case remains under investigation, Gallacinao said.

Individuals with information about the crime can contact the GPD at 846-0350 or anonymously at 1-800-782-7463.
