Dear Editor,

Mr. Zappa erroneously describes the elections in Iraq as successful. He fails to mention in his “I love dubya” diatribe the arrangement that then CIA Director George Tenet made with Bush to hold on to the CIA report released yesterday severely contradicting almost every premise the Bush-Cheney “How much can we get away with before we get caught” team presented to the American public in the State of the Union address for proceeding with the invasion of Iraq, until after the 2004 election in exchange for the White House holding on to the Inspector General’s report that labeled Tenet’s leadership of the CIA as “miserably lacking.”

Mr. Zappa also fails to realize that in every case American Armed Forces have been sent into harm’s way, the economy has grown in a wave of patriotism. Look at dubya’s daddy’s little armed excursions, the economy also grew grandly, even with the precursors to “Read my Lips, No new taxes” which cost that conservative the election.

Mr. Zappa must be a rich conservative if he considers Reagan “trickle-down-economics” a boom.

Mr. Zappa’s letter mentions at least seven talking points of the last Republican National newsletter.

Billions are spent on a worthless issue in Iraq. The fundamental Muslims in Iraq do not want a democracy, no matter what dubya says. All they want is to rid their country of the apostates (the Shia) as the Koran demands. All Bush has done is kick over the rock that was keeping the wrath of a semi-freed religious jihad deep in a tunnel. The citizens(?) of Iraq want nothing more than our money, and the millions of tons of military detritus that always remain after a prolonged occupation.

Mr. Zappa and his fellow conservatives should spend far less time inflating our national debt, undermining the strength and efficiency of the Medicare program, trying to limit a woman’s right to choose over her OWN body, being indicted for conspiracy, and outright lying to the American people and far more time not calling people with a differing opinion “Sheeple.” Notice I disagree with almost every word Zappa says, yet I have called him nothing worse than a conservative.

Close our borders so that national border integrity can be maintained Mr. Zappa. Eliminate the tax cut and put the money against the debt. Rework the Alternative Minimum Tax rather than cut the hell out of homeowner tax deductions.

Oops, I forgot two words, “mission accomplished.”
