Gilroy – The Knuckleheads moved to 2-0 atop the Men’s Winter E League standings Monday with a 7-4 victory over VFW Bingo at Christmas Hill Park.

John Day anchored the Knucklehead offense, lining a home run, double and single while scoring three runs. Rich Adams went 2-for-2 with two RBI for the winners. Jason Brindle tripled and singled, Gabe Perez singled and doubled for VFW Bingo.

The Loco Boys also hit 2-0 by topping Western Recycling 29-9. Jimmy Castaneda Sr. stroked two home runs, a triple and double for the co-leaders. Bob Lucio went 4-for-4 and Daniel Fellows scored four runs for the Loco Boys. David Rodriguez went 4-for-4 and Benny Naranjo added three hits and scored three Western runs.

Gamers In Control is 1-1 after a 22-15 decision over Claddagh Brew Crew.

Almichael Concordia went 5-for-5 and scored four Gamers runs. Adam Whitney homered in a four-hit effort. Walter Margetich and Parker Hathaway each netted four hits for Claddagh Brew Crew.

Don’s Vending opened the Women’s Winter League season Monday at Las Animas Park with a 14-5 win over Goldsmith’s Seeds.

Ermalinda Garcia went 4-for-4 and Melissa Taku added three hits and three runs scored for Don’s Vending. Esmeralda Hernandez went 2-for-3 and scored twice for Goldsmith’s Seeds.

Toby’s Girls earned a forfeit win over Farmers Insurance.

Pro Electric moved to 2-0 atop the Men’s Winter D League standings Friday with a 17-12 win over Blackout Window Tinting at Christmas Hill Park.

Cris Adame went 4-for-4 and Roy Escudero went 3-for-3 for the Electricians. Eddie Adame laced a two-run home run for the winners. Jason Corral went 3-for-3 and Gene Smith cracked a home run, double and single for Blackout (1-1) who evened its early season record.

Humboldt Brewing struck for four runs in the top of the eighth inning to trip EvMar 18-16.

Ed Keim Jr. went 5-for-5, including a two-run single in the Humboldt eighth. Dave Del Villar posted a home run and two singles for the winners. Willie Maquinalez scored four EvMar runs.

DLM Electric opened with an 18-4 win over New Hope Community Church.

The Good Fellas rallied past State Farm Insurance 12-11 in the Men’s Winter C League opener Friday at Las Animas Park.

Gabe Duenas made it 11-11 with an RBI-double and Rich Perez stroked a run-scoring single to complete the comeback. Joey Barnes homered, doubled and singled for the winners. Jade Garcia went 3-for-4 for State Farm Insurance.

Luis Garcia hit a three-run home run in a 3-for-4 showing to pace Crew Softball past Cellular Universe 20-10. Daniel Salinas poked a two-run home run and Ricky Salinas went 3-for-4 and scored three Cellular Universe runs.

Gabe Ponce hit a two-run single in an eight-run fourth inning to help Dynamite to a 10-5 win over D. A. Wolfe Construction. Ponce took game batting honors at 3-for-3. Junior Gutierrez lined a two-run single for Wolfe.

Feather Haven is 2-0 in Co-Rec Winter B play after an 11-3 victory over Chicks N’ Sticks at Christmas Hill. Cherie Somavia went 4-for-4, Brett Scott 4-for-5 for the Mill. Benji Dequin powered a three-run home run and double for the Sticks.
