Monetary donations to the Pastor’s Discretionary Fund can be made by sending checks to the Church with “Pastor’s Discretionary Fund” written on the memo line of the check. Money will be used to anonymously help needy families.

The center’s housing program begins Dec. 2, so it also is looking for cooking utensils, bed sheets, and other home furnishings for the low income families who will be housed for the winter months. • FBLA is collecting donations of household necessities, food, water, rakes, shovels, PDC pipes or monetary contributions so that gift certificates for items may be purchased for Croy Road fire victims and will again perform Thanksgiving miracles by collecting and distributing boxes of food and fixings for needy families.Please call the FBLA adviser at 202-6144 for further information or questions.
Kiwanis
• The Kiwanis needs help decorating downtown for the holidays. The fun is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 7. Volunteers will install lights in trees and organize the center median display. Call Barbara 776-7818 for more information.
• Kiwanis Holiday Parade, Dec. 14, needs 30 parade marshals to work from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Training, vests and flashlights will be provided. Call Barbara at 776-7818.
Community Service Officers Association
• The “Acts of Kindness” Drive will run through the end of November. New and used coats and gloves will be accepted at the Morgan Hill Police Department, 17605 Monterey Road. The coats will be made to benefit day laborers, so sizes medium to extra large are preferred. Donors dropping off items after 5 p.m. will need to press the intercom on the right-hand side of the front doors.
The St. Catherine’s Day Worker Committee will be responsible for distributing the coats.
