Leonard Priest of Morgan Hill died peacefully at home Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005.
Born Jan. 15, 1915 in Sutton Bay, Mich., Mr. Priest brought his family to Morgan Hill in 1953 where he worked as a masonry contractor for 22 years before retiring in 1975. He was a member of Kiwanis, SIRS, St. Catherine Church and Past Master of the Morgan Hill Grange. He loved golf, bowling, horseshoes, bridge and the San Francisco Giants.
He will be remembered by his loving wife of 64 years, Jane; son, Leonard Jr. (Sue); grandchildren, Sharyl Eichhorn, Allan Priest, Jodi Priest, Joshua Priest, Mitchell Priest; 11 great-grandchildren; and sister, Rita Kiessel of Suttons Bay, Mich.
He was preceded in death by his son Victor in 1977.
Service arrangements are pending. Internment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made in his name to St. Catherine School, 17500 Peak Avenue, Morgan Hill, CA 95037.
