Dear Editor,
I hear the train a coming
It’s flying around the bend
Where is all the money?
That we will have to spend
There on page one
Of our morning paper
A meeting with the proponents
Of the Bullet Train’s favor
But then on page two
Was an ironic joke
It stated that Cal Train
Was now going broke
If the latter is failing
Let’s use common sense
And not be spending money
At the taxpayer’s expense
Could we learn this lesson?
That in this state of ours
We will never be able to
Get people out of their cars I
In this present time
With more state spending
Will only bring about
Just another bad ending
