Politics Has to Stop – When Are We Going to Get a Pacheco Pass Road Built?

Dear Editor,

Lots of rumors as to when and where the “NEW” Pacheco Pass bypass road will be built, but no action.

WE NEED THE NEW ROAD NOW.

Yoplait! The Union Hacks Are At It Again With Their Misguided Wal-Mart Protest

Dear Editor,

So the union supporters are at it again, harassing Wal-Mart. Before Super Wal-Mart was built here in Gilroy, the union liars told us that if it opened, downtown Gilroy would die. But even with the city taking forever to fix Monterey Street between Fourth and Sixth, there is hardly a place to park downtown! The downtown businesses I patronize are teeming with customers.

Follow the money! The only reason the union racketeers protest Wal-Mart, with their puppets from the Religious Left (no longer limited to the Jesuits), is to force their workers to pay dues (tribute) and, even worse, control their retirement (to keep them dependent little drones). Fact is, Wal-Mart workers don’t need the union!

Can Alexander Tony of UFCWU Loco 428 explain why the same Yoplait yogurt that costs 50 cents at Wal-Mart used to be 79 dents “on sale” at Nob Hill? Ya think it has something to do with union dues?

We need California to be a right-to-work state; i.e., workers don’t have to belong to a union to have a job! That will end the racketeering practices of SEIU, UFCWU and the teachers’ unions, among others. Or better yet, simply repeal the National Labor Relations Act and abolish exclusive representation! For information see www.ecouncil.org/rtw.htm.

No Controversy About Naming the New School As Far as She’s Concerned

Dear Editor,

I was at a school board meeting when the issue of naming the new school was brought up.

It was my understanding that the pubic was invited at that time to attend the next “naming” meeting. The young man who spoke of it stated the date and time of the meeting and invited all interested parties to attend.

If the pubic was invited, and didn’t show up, how is that in defiance of the law (the Brown Act) in question?

You can’t make people attend the meetings.
