Manager Mike Kachel’s Gilroy Little League baseball American League 10-year-old All-Stars shut out the Spartans 7-0 on Wednesday in San Jose.

Pitcher Reid Francis made sure the Spartans were unbalanced at the dish, striking out 12 while allowing just one hit.

Gilroy resumes All-Star action Wednesday at Flickinger Park at 5:30 p.m. in San Jose.
