Housing Trust is halfway to $10 million goal
Gilroy – The Housing Trust of Santa Clara County announced Thursday that it needed just 126 days to reach the halfway point toward its goal of raising $10 million over three years to provide housing for 3,000 county families.
Housing trust co-founder Carl Guardino said “we are both humbled and stunned to have already surpassed the halfway point in just the first months. The response underscores the unique strength of Silicon Valley as a region of ‘doers and donors’ rather than ‘talkers and takers.'”
The money has been donated by a variety of corporations and local governments, with Gilroy providing $75,000 and Morgan Hill $200,000.
