MH boys team excels in the Wild West Showdown
FREMONT – The Morgan Hill Gymnastics boys team competed in their second meet of the season in the Wild West Showdown on Feb. 21 in Fremont.

In the open optional division for all ages, 22-year-old Eric Talmage finished second in the all-around by placing first on rings, second on floor and parallel bars, third on pommel horse and high bar, and fourth on vault.

Teammate Andrew Reichelderfer, 14, finished third in the all-around, scoring second on vault, third on parallel bars and rings, and fourth on floor and pommel horse.

In the Class 6 division for ages 9-10, Zach Fedalizo finished in 14th overall by taking seventh on rings, vault, and high bars, as well as 10th on floor, 14th on pommel horse, and 15th on parallel bars.

In the Class 6 division for ages 6-8, Daniel Johnson finished 11th in the all-around, placing fifth on parallel bars, seventh on vault, eighth on floor, ninth on rings, 15th on pommel horse, and 16th on high bar.

In the Class 7 division for ages 10 and over, Jacob Anderson, 11, took home sixth place in the all-around by scoring second on parallel bars, fifth on vault, floor and rings, seventh on pommel horse and high bar.

Nine-year-old Kyle Erickson, competing in the Class 7 for ages 8-9, finished 13th in the all-around by placing eighth on rings, 10th on high bar, 11th on parallel bars, 12th on pommel horse, 14th on vault, and 15th on floor.

Teammate Alec O’Grady, 8, took 16th in the all-around by scoring 13th on pommel horse, 14th on vault, and 16th on floor, rings, parallel bars, and high bar.

In Class 7 action for ages 6-7, Caleb Weisenburger, 7, placed 19th in the all-around, receiving marks of 15th on vault, 17th on parallel bars and high bar, 20th on rings, 21st on pommel horse, and 24th on floor.

Seven-year-old Keelan Baughman finished in 20th position by placing 10th on vault, 15th on parallel bars, 18th on high bar, 19th on floor, 23rd on rings, and 25th on pommel horse.

Teammate Tristen Baughmen, 7, was 21st in the all-around by placing fifth on vault, 14th on rings, 20th on pommel horse, 21st on high bar, 22nd on parallel bars, and 23rd on floor.

Six-year-old Bryan Miner finished 25th in the all-around by scoring 18th on vault, 22nd on parallel bars and pommel horse, 27th on high bar and rings, and 28th on floor.
