Q: Do you think safe and sane fireworks should be banned in Gilroy?

A: Yes – If they sell safe and sane fireworks, people will use the illegals too. If they ban them, it will be easier to catch the illegal firework users.
A: No – Because it is tradition, and we are the only city that allows them.
A: No – But they should have a fireworks park area designated for them.
A: Yes – Gilroy citizens have not dealt with them and illegals in a rational manner. I had to stand on my roof with a hose this year because of fireworks in the area.
A: No – If they have a safe area, they are not a problem.
A: No – I think they are fun, and you can’t get them anywhere else.
