New logo for Gilroy Gardens, a family theme park owned by the

Gilroy Gardens is getting groovy – with its logo.

On Tuesday, the horticulture theme park located on Hecker Pass unveiled the snazzy new design, which features not one, but two earthy elements.

The logo incorporates Gilroy’s signature lowercase “g” with a garlic bulb, but also works in the theme park’s world-famous circus tree as a part of the lowercase “d.”

Local downtown creative firm Articulate Solutions, which also dreamed up the award-winning City of Gilroy logo and tagline, designed the new logo for Gilroy Gardens. The fresh look will be worked into the redesign of the theme park’s Highway 152 sign; the change for which is scheduled sometime in 2012.

“Gilroy Gardens is a local treasure and a real asset to our community,” said Katherine Filice, Creative Director of Articulate Solutions. “We were honored to work with them on this project and help to better align their brand to the City of Gilroy.”

Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park is California’s only horticultural theme park, featuring more than 40 family attractions including six majestic gardens, educational exhibits, rides and the world famous Circus Trees. The park is located in Gilroy, California at 3050 Hecker Pass (Highway 152).
