Lucile Duclos DeRosa, 102, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2012, in San Jose. Mrs. DeRosa was born to Avila and Caroline Duclos on November 20, 1909 in Seattle, WA.
 Her five brothers, Regis, Roger, Marcel, Leon and Clovis, and a sister, Julie, passed several years ago. Also predeceased, her beloved husband of 58 years, William DeRosa in 1989; and a son, Kent DeRosa in 2010. She is survived by a son, Gary DeRosa (Marea) of Pine Grove; daughters, Dolores Bojorquez of Campbell, Marcia DeRosa of Menlo Park and Gail Salice (Richard) of Pacific Grove. She leaves 11 grandchildren, six great and two great-great-grandchildren.
 Lucile moved from Seattle to Compton, CA, graduating from Compton College. She lived in Hollister and worked in her brother Roger’s bakery where she met her husband. For three years, they resided in San Francisco where she provided nursing care at the French Hospital in San Francisco.
 Moving back to Hollister, she spent several years farming apricots and prunes. They moved to Campbell in 1952 where she was employed at Dalmotor Electronics in Santa Clara. In 1958, Lucille and William owned and operated two Dairy Belle’s, one in Campbell another in San Jose. After nine years they retired.
 She spent countless hours volunteering with St. Lucy Catholic Church in Campbell and, before that, Sacred Heart Church in Hollister. She was a longtime member and past president of the Young Ladies Institute (YLI). She was also a long-time volunteer for the Sacred Heart Community in San Jose. Earlier she had volunteered for many years at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hollister. Lucile’s favorite retirement years were spent traveling in their RV around the U.S. She made trips to Europe and Indonesia. Her favorites were Hawaii and Switzerland.
She enjoyed several cruises as well.An avid reader and game player, Lucile relished playing bridge with her long time friends and played up until a few weeks ago.
 A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Lucy’s Catholic Church in Campbell on Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. Private interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Lucy’s Catholic School or Sacred Heart Community.
