Lucille R. Hastings August 17, 1917 – November 10, 2014 As per her wishes, cremation will be held. A Memorial Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, in Tres Pinos at a future date, and will be announced. Lucille R. Hastings passed away in Hollister, CA on Monday evening , November 10th, 2014, surrounded by her family at the age of 97 years.
Lucille was the spouse of the late John Patrick Hastings, who died December 14, 2001.
Lucille was a native of Kansas; and a resident of Salinas, CA before moving to Hollister in 1974 to be close to her family.
She was very active in her church during her life. As a member of Immaculate Conception Parish, she taught Catechism, was a Eucharistic Minister, and a worker as well as a supporter of the parish barbeque.
Her interests were cooking wonderful family dinners, gardening, taking road trips with her late husband, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and family gatherings.
“When she couldn’t fight the golfing family members any longer, she joined the family golf circle”.
Surviving Lucille are her children, Bonnie Freeman of Santa Barbara, Judy Hooper (Don) of Hollister, and Michael Hastings of Reno; her grandchildren Todd Houser (Kathy) of South Carolina, Michelle Wolfe (Tom) of Oklahoma, Bonnie Webb (Jeff) of Montana, Lisa Patterson of Hollister, Mark Houser (Jennifer) of Montana and Daniel Freeman of New York. Her great- grandchildren, Krista, Anthony, Heather, Tiffany, Nicholas, Charlie, John, Justin , Andrew, Josey, and Lottie; great-great-grandchildren, Isabella and Ryan. Several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, Johnny Hastings and her sister, Irene. She is loved by many!
