A 48-year-old man allegedly robbed a 6-year-old boy of $5 after the youth bought a cookie, a drink and a donut for his sister from a Monterey Street store Friday at 10:15 a.m.
As he walked out of the store and was trying to put his change into his pocket, Frank Alexander Bedgoo took the $5 bill from his hand. The boy returned to the shop, where his mother was working and Bedgoo followed him in, according to a police report.
Bedgoo became agitated when the mother confronted him and the boy’s 12-year-old brother chased Bedgoo away. Police found him down the street and arrested him on suspicion of robbery and a parole violation.
