GILROY – City police say a 42-year-old Gilroy man admitted to not stopping his sexual advances when a female said, “No,” but he denied her accusation that he threatened to kill her if she didn’t marry him.

Based on the female’s statement, Gilroy police arrested Manuel Lopez Ocampo at 3:39 p.m. Thursday at his 7340 Church St. home. They charged him with sexual assault and making terrorist threats, both felonies.

The alleged victim told police that she was at Ocampo’s home with him when he forced himself on her. She said, “No” right away, she said, but he did not stop. He did stop short of having sexual intercourse with her, however.
