A man who was arrested for the May 26 home invasion of a Gilroy family has been rearrested after a search warrant was served at his San Jose home.
 Jon Kovacs, 50, was arrested again June 9 after police found numerous firearms and a large amount of ammunition in his house. No explosives were located at the residence. A loaded handgun was located in a common area of the home which was easily accessible to a small child who resides there, police said.
Mr. Kovacs is a felon and is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition. He was booked on charges of being a felon in possession of firearms, felon in possession of ammunition, possession of a silencer, possession of an unregistered assault weapon, and possession of methamphetamine and child endangerment.
