Maria J. Zuniga, 87, passed away at her home in San Jose on Nov. 10. She was born in Sonora, Mexico on May 3, 1915.
She is survived by her sons Silverio Zuniga of San Jose and ex-wife Esther Velador of Morgan Hill, Frank Zuniga of San Jose and ex-wife Edna Zuniga of Santa Rosa, Robert Zuniga and his wife Amelia of Morgan Hill and daughter-in-law Sylvia Zuniga of Clear Lake Oaks; her sisters Isabel Nevarez of Hayward and Amelia Campos of Whittier. She was preceded in death by her son Charlie Zuniga.
Maria had 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 14, starting at 2 p.m. with a vigil service at 6 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, 17720 Monterey St., Morgan Hill, CA, 779-8456. The funeral mass will be held Friday, at 10 a.m. at St. Catherine Church, 17400 Peak Ave., Morgan Hill.
Interment to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Morgan Hill.
