Thanks to Mark Zappa for his excellent letter in defense of our mayor.
No matter where you stand on the issues, our mayor has a genuine love for this city. During one campaign I walked the precincts with him. At one home after another, he expressed his concern or caring for the illness of a son, the loss of a loved one, the trauma after a fire or tragedy of some sort. He truly cares about the people of Gilroy and what decisions affect their lives concern him.
When you are unhappy with a council decision – remember, the mayor is one vote out of seven.
