games this week at Gilroy Sports Park.

The Mets battled the San Lorenzo Valley A’s in a brutal six-inning contest Thursday that left the Mets with a one-run victory, 7-6, over the A’s.
The A’s opened up with a three-run lead in the first, but the Mets answered back with three of their own in the second. With Noah Vasquez on base through a single and Dorian Mercado drawing a walk, Sam Kent slammed a two-run double. Kent then advanced to third and scored on a fielder’s-choice RBI by Jon Schmidt.
Dakota Gaucin opened the third inning with a triple, followed by singles from D-Ray Perll, Michael Montez and Luke Schmidt.
The A’s rallied to tie the game 6-6 in the bottom of the third, forcing the Mets to play tough defense the rest of the way. Max Kent made a great catch to snag a deep fly ball to left field, followed by two put-outs by catcher Jimmy Lemberger at home plate
D-Ray Perll was able to score in the sixth after hitting a double, when Lemberger and Montez followed with singles. The bottom of the sixth proved to be crucial as the Mets held on to their one-run lead. With one out and runners on first and second, the infield-fly rule was called for the second out, and a runner was tagged at second by Perll for the final out.
Montez was the starting pitcher with five strikeouts, and was followed by Gaucin in relief.
On Tuesday, the Mets crusied over the Santa Cruz Yankees for a 10-3 win.
The Mets opened up the game with a four-run lead in the first inning, scoring Perll, Lemberger, Schmidt and Vasquez. Tyler Galloway was able to record a single on a fielding error.
The Yankees fought back, adding two runs in the second inning, and one in the fourth, but the Mets rallied with a run of their own in the same frame, scoring Luke Schmidt.
The fifth inning featured the Mets’ Kent, Jon Schmidt, and Justin Sheridan scoring runs. The with the bases loaded, Lemberger unleashed a three-run triple to score Kent, Gaucin, and Perll.
Perll was the starting pitcher with six strikeouts, followed by relief pitchers Sam Kent and Michael Montez.
The Mets will play their next game at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Field A2 at Gilroy Sports Park.
