Red Phone

Dear Red Phone,
“Kudos to the City of Morgan Hill for having a fabulous Fourth of July parade. Why can’t we, as residents of Gilroy, enjoy a Gilroy parade such as Morgan Hill’s? Gilroy lacks many fire trucks, Morgan Hill has plenty. It was just a beautiful day. People were enjoying, people were involved. Whatever happened to the old days of Gilroy’s Bonanza Day parade? Gilroy should take a lesson from Morgan Hill. Morgan Hill really knows how to put on a parade.”
Dear grass is greener on the other side,
Morgan Hill has done a wonderful job with the Fourth of July parade and many community organizations are represented – kind of like our Memorial Day parade. By the way, it’s not the City that puts the MH parade on, much like it’s not the City that puts on the Garlic Festival which, if you’re keeping score, is a far better event than the Morgan Hill Mushroom Mardi Gras. Point is we have many good events to enjoy in South County and that’s how Red Phone looks at it.
