During the weekend, police responded to auto burglaries, commercial burglaries, vandalism and domestic incidents. Here are a few events:

NAIL SALON BURGLARY

Top Nail, a nail salon on the 7400 block of Monterey Street was burglarized sometime during the month of October. The suspect stole a video camera and 40 bottles of nail polish. There were no signs of forced entry. 

WALMART EMBEZZLEMENT

Freddie Goodrich, 38, was arrested at 10 p.m. on Oct. 15 for embezzlement, when Walmart reported that he had been taking car battery cores from storage while at work for the past six weeks. The battery cores were valued at $1080. Goodrich was taken to Santa Clara County Jail.  

POSSIBLE MOLESTATION CASE

A mother from the 8400 block of Westwood Drive reported that her 4-year-old child disclosed he or she had been inappropriately touched by the father at 12 a.m. on Oct. 25. Police interviewed all involved parties and determined that the case should be referred to Child Protective Services. 

MI PUEBLO VANDALIZED

An unknown Hispanic male suspect threw a rock through a window at Mi Pueblo Foods on First Street and took off running at 7:38 a.m. on Oct. 28. He wore a black sweatshirt, baseball cap and white shoes. Police do not know if this incident is any way related to Mi Pueblo’s recent decision to perform immigration status checks on new employees, and the union strike that arose from that change.
