Dear Editor,
I agree that trustees spending so much time on the issue of
field trips is definitely micromanaging. There is so much more to
an education than test scores.

I want my child to get a well-rounded education. I want him to go to a pumpkin patch, Happy Hollow Zoo, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, a mission, Fallon House, etc. I trust his teachers to choose field trips that fit their curriculum and enrich his educational experience. I want him to go on as many trips as possible.
I want my child to have fun at school and enjoy it. I hope that many parents want the same for their children. I also want to thank the home and school clubs around the area that help with funding so students are able to go on field trips.
