BASEBALL: Gallardo's complete game helps GHS to 6-0 win

GHS alum Chris Gimenez belted a game-winning home run in the
bottom of the 10th inning to lead the Columbus Clippers, the
Triple-A minor league affiliate to the Cleveland Indians, to a 4-3
victory over the Louisville Bats on Tuesday.
GHS alum Chris Gimenez belted a game-winning home run in the bottom of the 10th inning to lead the Columbus Clippers, the Triple-A minor league affiliate to the Cleveland Indians, to a 4-3 victory over the Louisville Bats on Tuesday.

The dinger was Gimenez’s second home run in four games.

Gimenez graduated from Gilroy High in 2001. The former Mustang is in his fifth season with the Indians’ organization. Gimenez made his Major League debut during the 2009 season and appeared in 45 games, posting 16 hits, including three home runs in 111 at-bats.

The Clippers are 4-2 to start the year.
