Skaters attack ice cream truck
A patron of the Centennial Recreation Center reported a group of juveniles surrounded an ice cream truck that stopped in the parking lot adjacent to the skate park at 171 West Edmundson Ave. The reporting party said the skate park users were hitting the truck with their hands and were being “rude and disrespectful” in their quest for Klondike bars, Choco Tacos and other frozen treats.

Alarm company impostors try to enter home
A man reported to police that a group of about 10 males knocked on the door at his home on the 1600 block of Arguello Court, claiming to be working for the company that monitors the home’s alarm system.
The man’s wife, who is new to the country and was the only person home at the time, answered the door when the men knocked about 9 a.m. Aug. 24. She did not let the men inside. Her husband called the alarm company and asked if they had sent someone to the home, and they said they had not.
Boutique burglarized
Police reported that a thief or thieves jumped the fence of the Unique Boutique store, broke into storage sheds and made off with about $2,000 worth of clothing and other merchandise.
The crime at the San Pedro Avenue store was reported 10:51 a.m. Tuesday, and likely occurred overnight Monday or early Tuesday morning, according to a police report of the incident.
Two arrested after late-night fight downtown
Police arrested two young men for public drunkenness, after a witness reported a fight involving about 30 people in downtown Morgan Hill.
The Morgan Hill Police dispatch center received a call about 3:09 a.m. Sunday stating that a large group of males and females were fighting near the intersection of Main Avenue and Monterey Road. Some of the fighters reportedly employed “bats and bottles” as weapons during the fray.
By the time police arrived about five minutes later, the crowd had dispersed. Officers caught up with two young men walking west on Del Monte Avenue, in the opposite direction of the reported fight scene.
Christopher Longoria, 18, and German Franco, 21, were arrested on suspicion of public drunkenness.
