Gilroy finished in fifth place in the Tri-County Athletic League after defeating Watsonvile 9-7 Friday in the league tournament.
The game was closely contested throughout. Gilroy was down 6-4 at the half but outscored Watsonville 4-1 in the fourth quarter to win the game.
Austin Gubrud led the Mustangs with four goals, two assists and five steals. Eric Boe had three goals and four steals. Daniel Shields had a goal, two assists and a steal. Nick Campilli scored a goal. Kyle Nettleblad had an assist. And Kyle Dickson had four steals.
Ethan Fortuna had five saves in goal and one assist.
